Love: 4th Sunday in Advent

He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.
Micah 5:4

We have heard it said, “love does.”
And it is here that we see love doing.
Working.
Serving.
The Creator became that which he created, for the sake of those he created.
In this grand exemplification of unconditional love, we come face-to-face with the Son of Man beckoning us to live securely beneath the shadow of his wings, as sheep would live in close proximity to the Good Shepherd.
Will we trust his way of love?
We will face troubles and trials.
He told us we would.
But Jesus has overcome in love.
