GIVE ONLINE

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.     2 Corinthians 9:10-11

God tells us that he loves a cheerful giver. Thanks for taking the time to cheerfully give to ZPC. Our offerings are clearly accounted for and our desire is to use your gift to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Some of that work will be in our own back yard and some of that work will be in faraway places like Romania or Brazil. Your gift is appreciated and we know that God will use it to make a difference.

ZPC's members and regular attenders will have their online giving transactions automatically posted to their contribution records on a regular basis. Online gifts may be made by an ACH transfer from a checking or savings account or by using a credit card and can be a one-time gift or scheduled recurring transactions.

For some of us, the process of depositing our gifts in an offering plate is an important part of worship. Others prefer to drop contributions in the church office. A growing number of us would rather handle our finances online. Whichever approach you choose, we remain committed to applying your generous gifts with wisdom and integrity to the work of revealing the love of God in our broken world.

Stewardship Principles

These are the principles that we at ZPC have found beneficial as we seek to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted us with, including time, talent, treasure, and all of creation:

The Church is called to be the community of those who put their trust in God, indicting the pervasive materialism and self-centeredness of our culture.  Yet even as we stand apart from the world, we choose to serve the world as trustees of God’s good gifts.

  • Matthew 6:25-33
  • Luke 12:16-21
  • James 5:1-6

God calls us to manage his resources joyfully, sacrificially and with servant hearts, acknowledging that it is a privilege to be stewards of his property.  We affirm that sacrifices offered apart from love, no matter how great, gain us nothing.  We enjoy a God-provided contentment that he is able to meet all of our needs and the needs of his kingdom.

  • I Corinthians 13:3
  • II Corinthians 9:6-7
  • Philippians 4:10-13, 19

God calls us to manage his resources faithfully.  More than just giving, stewardship of money is investing in God’s eternal purposes.  More than just management, stewardship of the earth is fulfilling God’s original creation mandate.

  • Genesis 2:15, 19-20
  • II Corinthians 8:1-9
  • I Timothy 6:18-19

God’s priorities demand to be the top priorities in every area of life.  God rightfully deserves the first share of everything we receive, as reflected in the way we organize our time, distribute our money, and utilize our abilities.

  • Proverbs 3:9-10
  • Malachi 3:8-10
  • Romans 12:3-8

Far from being merely an obligation, managing God’s property is an every-minute opportunity to express our thanks to him for his goodness, to affirm our dependence on God in everything, and to return his love for us as our own expression of love for him.

  • Leviticus 22:17-22
  • I Corinthians 10:31
  • II Corinthians 9:12

God has assigned to each of us the responsibility of managing the resources we have been given—including time, money, abilities, and care of the earth.  God will hold each person accountable according to the faithfulness of his stewardship.

  • Genesis 1:27-30
  • Luke 16:10
  • Matthew 25:14-30

Since God is the unique creator and sustainer of the universe, everything belongs to him.  The sum total of the personal gifts, financial resources, hours and opportunities that make up our lives are God’s gift to us.

  • I Chronicles 29:14-18
  • Psalm 24:1-2
  • Colossians 1:15-20

Giving Options

There are many ways you can give financially to ZPC. Please review these ideas to see which options fit you best.

How does online giving work?

Donations can be made through electronic funds transfer (an automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account) or through a credit or debit card. You can designate a one-time contribution or schedule weekly, monthly, or quarterly contributions.

The system is safe and secure. As soon as you click the link below, you enter a secure server that is protected by the same type of encryption used by banks for their transactions. From there, your gift is electronically transferred directly to ZPC’s bank, and the information about your contribution is sent to the ZPC Finance Office for entry on your giving record. You will receive a receipt of each transfer by email. You may also check your giving record at any time on the Church Center app or web portal, as well as your giving statements from the church.

Another easy way to give is from your smart phone through ZPC's Church Center app. From your smartphone search and download Church Center from the app store. You can use your email or phone number to login to Church Center. There is a "Give" button in the menu and it will take you directly to a page where you can follow instructions to give.

You may wish to make a contribution to a specific ZPC ministry, honor a loved one, or make a memorial gift. Guest users are able to make tax-deductible contributions as well as register for ZPC events.

If you have any questions about online giving, please contact Nancy Guesser or call her at 317.873.8137 x1002.

Cash and checks may be given during the weekend services, mailed, dropped off at the church, or sent via online bank transfer. Dated giving envelopes are available at the Welcome Center for your convenience.

Please ask your broker to deliver the securities to ZPC's account at Fidelity, as follows:

"Deliver to Fidelity, DTC 0226, for Zionsville Presbyterian Church, account Z 50 189 332."

Please contact Nancy Gruesser in the finance office or 317.873-8137, x1002 to advise the church of your stock gift.

ZPC accepts gifts of property and other tangible items for which we have direct use. These gifts are accepted after consideration by the church leadership. Gifts that are accepted will be acknowledged through a receipt from the church for tax purposes; such gifts are not included on the annual cash giving statements issued by the church, as the value is assigned by the donor.

Ask your employer if your company participates in a Matching Gifts Program. Some companies will match the amount of your gift, while others may match with a 2:1 contribution to ZPC. If your company participates, please consider completing their matching gift form and sending it to the church along with your donation. The proceeds from the match will be placed toward the same program as the original gift.

Memorial gifts and Honor gifts are made in memory of or in honor of members of family or friends. The church will send a notice of your gift, without indicating the dollar amount, to the family of the deceased or the person being honored. A review of memorial and honor funds is made periodically for appropriate use of the funds if there was not an agreed upon designation in advance.

Charitable trusts and annuities, life income gifts, and bequests are increasingly popular forms of giving. These kinds of gifts may provide tax advantages to the donor and beneficiaries.
