Come Thou Long Expected Jesus | Week 3

December 15, 2024 | Addie Wood

Third Sunday in Advent | PEACE

Come thou long expected Jesus. How we wait for you.
How we long for you. As we sit in our waiting, may we find your peace at the center. As we may experience worry or anxiety while we wait, may your comfort find us. May we return to you in times of anxiousness.
You are our hiding place. Our still waters. Our calm in the middle of the storm. Our fortress. Our place of peace.
May our bodies find solace in your grace. May our hearts be stilled beneath your wings. May our minds be filled with your presence. May our souls be stilled by your sovereignty.
May our cups run over with your peace. Mighty and holy is your name, Jesus. The Prince of Peace. Emmanuel.
You are the good shepherd. May we find our comfort in your name. May we find our strength within your promise. Come thou long expected Jesus.
May our plea of faith be pleasing to you.
May you hear our souls cry out to you. May our songs be heard as praise to you, O Lord. May our praise make the enemy flee. May our praise remind the captives that they have been set free.
We wait for you Lord. We long for you. Come, Lord Jesus, Come.
