 Jesus: A New Lawgiver? | Sundays | 10:45 am | Room 208

The overall intent of this class is to be shaped by the Scriptures, and those who accurately reflect them, so that we might live and think faithfully in a world shaped by forces alien to the Scriptures.

This year (Fall 2024 through Spring  2025), as we in worship encounter and ponder afresh the life of Moses, our class will be re-viewing Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The class will consider the idea of Jesus as the “New Lawgiver.”

This class is for all who want to grow deeper in Christ, particularly as we give careful, dialogical thought to Jesus’ words. One need not have shared in any of our previous discussions and/or classes. All are welcome, middle school and beyond.

We invite your family to put on your best Jammies and join us on Sunday, December 22 for a fun-filled Christmas event. We will begin in the Sanctuary where you and your children can experience the Christmas story together through activities, storytelling, and song. Afterward, join us for dinner, crafts and games in the Gym and Chapel. The cost is $5 per person, with a $20 max for families, which includes dinner. Youth Inquirers class seeks to give students a better understanding of their faith in Christ, knowledge of the church, and relationships with fellow believers. This 12 session class goes through many different topics from, following Christ, sacraments, what does it mean to be a Presbyterian, and many more topics. The class format serves to provide an environment for effective growth in each student. Youth Inquirers will join the church in March of 2025.

“Shepherding through Questions” with Rev. Dr. Stan Johnson

Join us for a special event to celebrate 10 years of Home Groups at Zionsville Presbyterian Church (ZPC)! We're excited to invite Rev. Dr. Stan Johnson for a teaching event focused on "Shepherding through Questions."

In this teaching, Dr. Johnson will explore how Jesus, often through simple questions, shepherded, led, and/or discipled individuals and groups. This approach is central to the spirit of our Home Groups—providing an opportunity for intentional, guided conversations that encourage both our relating to our Living Lord and to one another.

Key Focus:

  • The Power of Questions: Discover how questions can lead to deeper reflection, spiritual growth, and more meaningful relationships.
  • The Role of the Shepherd: Understand how Jesus modeled leadership through humble, intentional shepherding.
  • The Crucial Moments in Mark’s Gospel: Explore how Jesus prepared His disciples for the cross and resurrection through the asking of key questions.
Whether you’re a current or aspiring Home Group leader, a mentor, or anyone interested in growing in your ability to shepherd others, this event is for you!

Youth Inquirers is a membership class for 6th graders & 7th graders who have not previously completed Youth Inquirers. It begins each fall and happens on Sunday mornings from 9-10:15 am. Youth Inquirers class seeks to give students a better understanding of their faith in Christ, knowledge of the church, and relationships with fellow believers. This 12 session class goes through many different topics from, following Christ, sacraments, what does it mean to be a Presbyterian, and many more topics. The class format serves to provide an environment for effective growth in each student. Youth Inquirers will join the church in March of 2025.

Psalm 46:10 Yoga

A flow yoga class for all levels (age 16 and up). Participants should be able to walk a 1/2 mile or more and be able to get up/down from the floor. Cost of the event is a $10 donation to the Zionsville Food Pantry. Individuals should bring their own yoga mat.

Learn about ZPC and perhaps join the church by attending the Inquirers Class, Friday, November 7, 7-9 pm off-site and Saturday, November 8, 9-12 pm at ZPC. Friday night includes dinner and relational time. On Saturday you’ll learn more about ZPC with church staff and lay leaders. Registration will close on Wednesday, Aug 7. Childcare is available by advance registration only. 

New members will join on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
