Today’s Scripture: Romans 1:1-6

We recently began to study the book of Romans and were impressed by the way Paul describes himself. He uses the first verses of the book to tell about himself, who he is. In the first six words he expresses clearly and briefly how he defines himself, what is his position in relation to Jesus Christ–servant of Christ Jesus.

If we made the announcement in our churches today, "Who wants to be a servant (slave)?" what would be the reaction of the people? Probably in everyone's mind are the following thoughts: I want to be someone; I do not want to be anyone's slave ; I do not want to live life at someone's disposal. But the irony is that in God's scheme things are completely reversed. Paraphrasing what Jesus says about this life, we conclude: "You can gain the whole world, but you will lose your soul in this process."

My life has value because of the person I serve. He paid a huge price for me to free me from the power of sin. He paid a royal ransom and every day on this earth I show that I am a son of the Kingdom. I know that I am loved by the one whose love matters most in this world, and I proudly say, "I am a servant of Jesus Christ!"

Recent Activities:

For the past two months, we have had Bible studies and prayer times on zoom with young people and the church members. We've also tried to spread the Gospel on Facebook and YouTube, and thank God that many listened to these messages. We have noticed a greater openness from the people to the message of the Gospel. Praised be Our Lord!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the enormous price you paid for my redemption. Today, as son / daughter of the Kingdom, I tell you that I am proud to be called the servant of Christ on this earth. Please give me the strength to serve every day and help me get through all the obstacles of life. I fully trust in You and submit to your guidance.
Amen!
